“Serenity” is the original two-hour series pilot for the Firefly science-fiction television series created by Joss Whedon. However, FOX executives were not satisfied with this as a pilot, and so instead, “The Train Job” was created to be the pilot. “Serenity” was not aired until the end of the series’ run. This episode shares its name with the feature film Serenity, which continues the series after the final episode.

But don’t you just get the sense of family generated by this show?
That’s all I want to say about episode 1. It can make me feel more familiar with 9 strangers than I feel with people I’ve known for many years. I guess it has something to do with the intergrity generated by truthful fighting. I avoid fighting. I think this means I avoid that “tightness” that you can feel with someone you shred up - as long as they shred you back. I want to be more honest…part of the journey. Still looking to FIND MR.
